What is the peak velocity pressure Qp?

The peak dynamic pressure (or velocity) is a pressure exerted on the walls of structures.

The peak dynamic pressure is thus expressed according to 2 components:

– An average wind speed (defined over a return period of 50 years)

– The turbulence intensity of the wind

The wind zone (reference wind speed), the roughness of the field and the height of the building are the main parameters that influence the determination of this peak dynamic pressure.
